Editorial Standards
How we publish
Every guide is written to answer a specific question a hunter would ask, in plain language, with the trade-offs stated. Specifications come from manufacturer documentation or retailer listings, and we note where sources disagree. Magnification, objective size and exit pupil are calculated, not quoted.
What evidence we use
- Manufacturer specifications and documentation
- Published independent reviews and test reports, attributed as such
- Owner feedback, treated as anecdotal
- Optical principles that can be explained and checked
What we do not claim
We do not run laboratory tests, and we do not claim hands-on field testing unless a page explicitly says we handled a product. We do not publish prices, star ratings or review counts, because they change and cannot be maintained accurately on an editorial page.
Updates and corrections
Pages show a published date and an updated date when material changes are made. If you spot an error, contact us and we will correct it in place.
